Terms for using SellMyCar.lu.

Service description

SellMyCar.lu lets private owners request a free initial valuation and, where relevant, choose garage routing or Assisted Sale.

Assisted Sale fees

Assisted Sale has a €299 activation fee including Luxembourg VAT. If the vehicle is sold during the exclusive mandate, the seller also owes a success commission of 2% of the verified final price, with a €499 minimum and €999 maximum including VAT. The €299 is not deducted from the commission and remains payable if the vehicle is not sold, without limiting mandatory withdrawal rights.

Activation includes one standard interior and exterior cleaning and one professional vehicle photography session at an approved Luxembourg partner. Mobile preparation costs an additional €79 including VAT. Repairs, deep cleaning, detailing, transport, storage, and mechanical work are excluded unless separately quoted and accepted.

Preparation appointments

A preparation appointment may be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. A later cancellation or no-show may require a €79 including-VAT fee before rebooking.

Exclusive mandate and protected leads

The exclusive selling period lasts 30 days and starts when SellMyCar.lu activates the approved listing or buyer outreach after preparation. One additional 30-day extension can be agreed without another activation fee. A 30-day tail then applies to buyers first documented by SellMyCar.lu during the mandate.

A sale completed during the exclusive period is commissionable regardless of channel, except for a genuine pre-existing buyer documented before activation. The seller must promptly disclose a sale and provide reasonable evidence of the final price. No success commission is due if the vehicle is not sold.

Withdrawal and immediate performance

Where distance-contract rules apply, the seller has the statutory withdrawal period and may expressly request service to start during that period. After a valid withdrawal, any amount payable is limited by applicable law and the services actually supplied.

No guaranteed purchase

A dossier does not guarantee a purchase offer, buyer interest, or a specific valuation result. Feedback depends on the vehicle’s actual condition and marketability.

Seller responsibility

The seller is responsible for accurate information about the vehicle, ownership, history, damage, and previous repairs.
